Park Farm Riding School

Park Farm is a fully licensed and insured riding centre providing riding lessons for all ages and abilities. Instructors all have BHS qualifications. Our senior instructor Jon Casemore is a BHSII and Pony Club Accredited Trainer with many years teaching and competing experience.

Assessment Lesson
An introductory assessment session is for clients coming to the centre for the first time. During the assessment time you will ride, discuss your future riding requirements and complete an assessment form. It is during this assessment time that the Beginners or Refreshment Courses will be recommended.

Beginners/Refreshers Courses
For those starting for the first time a beginners course of 5 half hour private lessons is available. For those that are a bit rusty there is the option of a refreshers course of 3 half hour private lessons. These courses may be recommended by the instructor who carries out your assessment.

Group or Private Riding Lessons
You may have either group or private lessons: group lessons take place after school and during the weekends, private lessons can be booked at your convenience. We are also instruct people on their own horses.

Hacking
If you wish to ride out, we are able to offer a variety of routes over our private farm land.

Polo Lessons
Jon, our Senior Instructor, also offers Polo tutition which is available during the Polo season (late April - September).

Clothing
Clients are requested to wear suitable clothing for riding. Hard hats must be worn at all times when mounted, and must be to current British & European standards. Footwear with a small heel is required. Riding hats are available at the centre.

Block Booking
Block bookings must be paid for at the time of booking. Block bookings are non-refundable, but can be transferred in the event of a cancellation. Please see reception for costs.

Cancellation
Please give 24 hours notice when cancelling a lesson, late notification will incur a charge of half the value of the lesson.

It is a Risk Sport, even the most reliable of horses can be unpredictable at times, and accidents can still happen which could result in you being injured.

The centre is open Tuesday to Sunday, with lessons finishing at 8.00pm Tuesday - Thursday, 7pm on Fridays and 5pm at the weekend.
